This species thrives in extreme environments by relying on a symbiotic relationship with sulfide-oxidizing bacteria housed in its trophosome, a specialized organ. These bacteria convert hydrogen sulfide into organic compounds, providing the worm with essential nutrients. Oasisia sp.
